To start the mower, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is in the 'off' position, and the motion control levers are in the neutral lock position. Insert the key and turn it to the 'start' position.
Check the battery connections, ensure fuel is in the tank, and verify that the spark plug is in good condition. Also, make sure the safety interlocks are engaged properly.
It's recommended to change the oil after the first 5 hours of use and then every 50 hours or annually, whichever comes first.
To adjust the cutting height, use the deck lift lever located on the right side of the mower. Move it forward to lower the deck and backward to raise it, selecting the desired height setting.
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Ethanol content should not exceed 10%.
Check if the deck is level, the blades are sharp, and tire pressures are equal. Adjust the deck and balance the blades if necessary.
Inspect the blades for damage or imbalance, check for loose parts, and ensure that the engine mounting bolts are secure.
Regularly clean the deck to prevent grass buildup, check and tighten bolts, and sharpen the blades as needed.
Perform regular maintenance, such as oil changes, air filter replacements, and keeping the blades sharp. Also, ensure the tires are properly inflated.
Always wear appropriate safety gear, keep bystanders away, and be cautious on slopes. Follow all safety instructions in the manual.
