To change the oil, run the engine for a few minutes to warm it up. Then, turn off the engine and remove the key. Place an oil pan beneath the mower, remove the oil drain plug, and let the old oil drain completely. Replace the plug, add new oil through the oil fill cap, and check the level with the dipstick.
First, check the fuel level and ensure the fuel valve is open. Inspect the battery for charge and connections. Check the spark plug for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Ensure the air filter is clean. If the issue persists, consult the manual or a professional technician.
Blades should typically be sharpened after every 25 hours of use. However, if you notice uneven cutting or tearing of grass, it may be time to sharpen them sooner. Always ensure the mower is off and the key is removed before performing maintenance.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol as it can damage the engine.
Ensure the blades are sharp and balanced, maintain the correct tire pressure, and mow at the appropriate speed for the grass height and conditions. Regularly clean the deck to prevent grass buildup.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and remove any fuel from the tank or add a fuel stabilizer. Disconnect the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the mower to protect it from dust and moisture.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on the mower deck. Move the lever to the desired height setting, ensuring it clicks into place securely. Make sure both sides are set equally for an even cut.
Check the transmission fluid level regularly and top it up if necessary. Inspect for any leaks and clean around the transmission area to prevent debris buildup. Consult the manual for specific fluid type and intervals for complete fluid changes.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades, loose bolts, or debris lodged in the deck. Inspect the blades and mower deck thoroughly and tighten any loose parts. Replace parts if they show signs of damage.
Uneven cutting may result from dull blades, incorrect tire pressure, or an unlevel deck. Sharpen and balance the blades, check and adjust tire pressure, and ensure the deck is level by measuring from the blade tip to the ground on both sides.
