To change the oil, first run the engine for a few minutes to warm it up. Stop the engine and remove the key. Place a drain pan under the oil drain valve. Open the valve and allow the oil to drain completely. Close the valve and refill the engine with new oil, checking the oil level with the dipstick.
Ensure the fuel tank is filled with fresh gasoline. Check the battery connections for corrosion and ensure they are tight. Inspect the spark plug for wear and replace if necessary. Verify that the safety interlock switches are engaged properly.
Check the mower deck belt for wear or damage. Ensure the PTO switch is functioning correctly. Inspect the wiring connections for any loose or damaged wires. Adjust the deck engagement cable if needed.
Blades should be sharpened every 25 hours of use or whenever they show signs of wear or damage. Regular sharpening will ensure the best cutting performance and a healthy lawn.
The recommended tire pressure is 13 psi for the front tires and 10 psi for the rear tires. Proper tire pressure ensures optimal traction and even cutting.
After each use, clean the mower deck by scraping off any grass clippings and debris. Use a hose to wash away dirt and remaining debris, ensuring the deck is thoroughly dry before storing the mower.
Check the mower blades for sharpness and replace if necessary. Ensure the deck is level and adjust if needed. Verify that the grass is not too wet or too long when mowing.
Maintain your mower by regularly changing the oil, replacing the air filter, and keeping the blades sharp. Avoid mowing over thick, wet grass and always use the recommended fuel type.
Drain the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops. Change the oil and replace the air filter. Remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Clean the mower thoroughly and store it in a sheltered area.
The cutting height can be adjusted by using the deck lift lever located on the mower. Move the lever to your desired height setting, ensuring both sides are adjusted evenly for an even cut.
