Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Do not use gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content to prevent engine damage.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours of operation or at least once per mowing season. Always check the oil level before each use.
Ensure the blade control switch is engaged. Check the belt for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Also, inspect the PTO (Power Take-Off) switch and wiring for issues.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on the side of the mower. Move the lever to the desired cutting height position, which ranges from 1.5 to 4.5 inches.
The recommended tire pressure for the front tires is 13 psi, and for the rear tires, it is 10 psi. Regularly check and maintain the tire pressure for optimal performance.
After each use, remove grass clippings and debris from the mower deck with a brush or cloth. Use a garden hose to rinse the deck, ensuring water does not enter the mower's engine or electrical components.
Check the fuel level and ensure the fuel valve is open. Inspect the spark plug for fouling and replace if necessary. Verify the battery is charged and the terminals are clean.
Ensure the mower deck is level and the blades are sharp. Check tire pressures and adjust if needed. Inspect the deck for damage or obstructions. Adjust the deck if necessary.
Annually, change the engine oil and oil filter, replace the air filter, clean the mower deck, check and replace spark plugs if necessary, and inspect the belts for wear. Lubricate all pivot points and check the battery condition.
