Ensure the mower is on a flat surface, disengage the blade control switch, set the parking brake, and move the throttle to the 'fast' position. Turn the ignition key to start the engine.

Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours of operation or annually, whichever comes first.
