To change the oil, warm up the engine for a few minutes, then turn it off. Remove the oil drain plug and let the old oil drain into a container. Replace the drain plug, and refill the engine with new oil as specified in the manual.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C). For temperatures below 32°F, use SAE 10W-30 or 5W-30 for better performance.
Check the fuel level and ensure the fuel valve is open. Verify that the battery is charged and the spark plug is clean and properly connected. Additionally, make sure the safety switches are engaged.
Sharpen the blades at least once per mowing season, or more frequently if you notice uneven cutting or tearing of grass.
The recommended tire pressure is typically between 13 and 15 psi. Always check your manual for specific guidelines.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the filter, and gently clean it with compressed air or wash it with mild detergent and water. Allow it to dry completely before reinserting.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced blades, loose components, or debris lodged in the mower deck. Inspect and rectify these issues to resolve the vibration.
Regular maintenance, such as changing the oil, cleaning or replacing the air filter, and ensuring the spark plug is in good condition, can significantly improve fuel efficiency.
Check the PTO (Power Take-Off) switch and ensure it is in the correct position. Inspect the drive belts for wear or damage, and replace them if necessary.
Clean the mower thoroughly, remove the battery, and store it in a cool, dry place. Add a fuel stabilizer to the gas tank, and cover the mower to protect it from dust and moisture.
