To adjust the cutting height, locate the deck lift lever on the right side of the mower. Move the lever to the desired position to raise or lower the cutting deck. Ensure the mower is on a flat surface for accurate adjustment.
If your mower won't start, check the following: Ensure the battery is charged, the fuel tank is not empty, the fuel valve is open, and the spark plug is in good condition. Also, make sure the parking brake is engaged and the PTO switch is off.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours of operation or at least once a season. Always use the recommended oil type as specified in the owner's manual.
The recommended tire pressure is 13 psi (90 kPa) for both the front and rear tires. Check tire pressure regularly to ensure optimal performance and even cutting.
To clean the mower deck, ensure the mower is off and the engine is cool. Use a garden hose to wash away grass clippings and debris from the underside of the deck. Avoid using high-pressure washers as they may damage components.
If the blades are not engaging, check the PTO switch to ensure it is in the 'on' position. Inspect the drive belt for wear or damage, and replace if necessary. Also, ensure all safety interlocks are functioning properly.
To maintain the battery, keep it clean and dry. Check the terminals for corrosion and clean them with a baking soda solution if needed. Charge the battery before storing the mower for extended periods.
Uncut strips may be due to dull blades, uneven tire pressure, or an improperly leveled deck. Sharpen the blades, check the tire pressure, and adjust the deck level as necessary.
For off-season storage, clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and remove the battery. Store the mower in a dry, sheltered location, and cover it to protect from dust and moisture.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol to prevent damage to the engine components.
