Ensure the parking brake is engaged, move the throttle lever to the "Fast" position, and turn the key to the "Start" position. Release the key once the engine starts.
Check the PTO (Power Take-Off) switch to ensure it's in the "On" position. Also, inspect the drive belts for wear and tension, and replace them if necessary.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 50 hours or annually, whichever comes first. Use SAE 30 or 10W-30 oil for best performance.
Maintain a tire pressure of 13 psi for both the front and rear tires to ensure proper traction and cutting performance.
Check if the mower deck is level and adjust if necessary. Also, ensure the blades are sharp and not damaged, and inspect the tire pressure for consistency.
After each use, remove grass clippings and debris using a scraper or brush. For thorough cleaning, use a garden hose with the deck washout port.
Check the air filter and fuel filter for clogs and replace if needed. Also, inspect the spark plug for wear and replace it if it's dirty or damaged.
Use the deck lift lever located near the operator seat to adjust the cutting height. The lever provides multiple positions to select the desired grass height.
Drain the fuel system or add fuel stabilizer, clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and store the mower in a dry, sheltered location. Remove the battery and store it in a cool place.
Disconnect the spark plug wire for safety, lift the mower deck, and use a wrench to remove the blade bolts. Replace with new blades, ensuring they are secured tightly.
