To start the mower, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the blades are disengaged, and the motion control levers are in the neutral position. Then, turn the ignition key to the 'Start' position and release it once the engine starts.
Check the battery connections for corrosion, ensure fuel is in the tank, and inspect the spark plug for wear or damage. Make sure the PTO switch is off and the parking brake is engaged.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 50 hours of operation or annually, whichever comes first. Always use the recommended oil type and viscosity.
The recommended tire pressure for the front tires is 13 psi and for the rear tires is 10 psi. Check the pressure regularly to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Remove the blades by securing the mower and using a wrench to detach them. Sharpen the blades using a grinder or file, maintaining the original angle. Balance the blades before reinstalling them.
Regularly clean the deck to prevent grass buildup, check the belt and pulleys for wear, and lubricate the spindle bearings every 25 hours of operation.
Ensure the blades are sharp, the deck is level, and the grass is dry before mowing. Adjust the cutting height to suit grass conditions and avoid mowing too quickly.
Check for debris on the blades or under the deck, ensure the blades are balanced, and inspect the engine mounting bolts and pulleys for tightness or damage.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, add fuel stabilizer, remove the battery, and store the mower in a dry location. Cover it to protect against dust and moisture.
Check that the deck is level, ensure the tires are properly inflated, and inspect the blades for dullness or damage. Adjust the deck height if necessary.
