To start the mower, ensure that the parking brake is engaged, the PTO is off, and the throttle is set to 'fast'. Turn the ignition key to the 'start' position and release it once the engine starts.
Check the PTO switch to ensure it is in the 'on' position. Inspect the drive belt for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Also, verify that the battery is fully charged as low voltage can affect PTO operation.
Change the engine oil after the first 5 hours of use, and thereafter, every 50 hours or at least once per mowing season.
The recommended tire pressure is 13 psi (0.9 bar) for the rear tires and 15 psi (1 bar) for the front tires.
Adjust the cutting height by using the height-of-cut lever located on the right side of the mower. Move the lever to the desired height position.
Check that there is fresh fuel in the tank and that the fuel shut-off valve is open. Ensure the battery is charged and connections are clean. Verify that all safety switches are engaged.
After each use, use a hose to rinse off grass clippings from the deck. For stubborn build-up, use a plastic scraper. Ensure the mower is off and the blades have stopped before cleaning.
Ensure regular maintenance, such as changing the air filter and spark plugs. Keep the blades sharp, and mow at the recommended speed to improve fuel efficiency.
Inspect the blades for damage or imbalance and replace if necessary. Check for debris lodged in the mower deck and ensure all bolts and components are securely fastened.
Clean the mower deck and undercarriage thoroughly. Drain the fuel system or add a fuel stabilizer. Disconnect the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the mower to protect it from dust and moisture.
