To start the Toro TimeCutter ZD380 74432, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is off, and the motion control levers are in the neutral position. Turn the key to the 'Start' position and release it once the engine starts.
Check if the PTO switch is in the 'On' position. Ensure the engine is running at full throttle and the parking brake is off. Inspect the belt for any signs of wear or damage.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 50 hours or annually, whichever comes first. Use SAE 30 or 10W-30 oil for optimal performance.
The recommended tire pressure for the Toro TimeCutter ZD380 74432 is 13 psi for the rear tires and 15 psi for the front tires.
Check if the mower deck is level from side to side and front to back. Inspect the blades for sharpness and damage. Ensure the tire pressure is consistent on all tires.
Check the fuel level and add fresh fuel if necessary. Inspect the battery connections for corrosion and tightness. Ensure the spark plug is clean and properly gapped.
Remove the air filter cover and take out the filter. If it's a foam filter, wash it with warm, soapy water and let it dry. For paper filters, tap it gently to remove debris or replace it if it's too dirty.
Clean the mower thoroughly, removing any grass clippings and debris. Change the oil and filter, replace the fuel filter, and add a fuel stabilizer to the gas. Store the mower in a dry, sheltered location.
Use the height-of-cut lever located on the control panel. Move the lever to the desired position to adjust the cutting height, which ranges from 1.5 to 4.5 inches.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades. Check and sharpen or replace the blades if necessary. Ensure all mounting hardware and components are securely fastened.
