Toro TC4000 51644V Operator's Manual

To start the Toro TC4000 51644V Trimmer, ensure the unit is on a flat surface. Move the choke lever to the 'start' position, press the primer bulb several times until it fills with fuel, then pull the starter rope briskly until the engine starts.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87 and mix it with a high-quality 2-cycle oil at a 50:1 ratio for optimal engine performance.
To replace the trimmer line, remove the spool cap, take out the old line, and replace it with new line. Wind the line following the arrow direction on the spool, ensuring it is evenly distributed.
Check the fuel level and quality, ensure the spark plug is clean and properly connected, and verify that the air filter is clean. Also, make sure the kill switch is in the 'on' position.
Clean the air filter after every 10 hours of operation or more frequently if used in dusty conditions. Replace it if it shows signs of excessive dirt or damage.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the air filter, checking and replacing the spark plug annually, inspecting the fuel filter, and lubricating the shaft periodically.
Regularly perform maintenance tasks, store the trimmer in a dry place, use the correct fuel mix, and avoid overloading the engine during operation.
The trimmer line may break frequently if it is the wrong size or type for your trimmer, if it is old and brittle, or if it is being used against hard surfaces or thick brush.
Drain the fuel tank, clean the trimmer thoroughly, check all components for wear, and store it in a dry, sheltered area away from direct sunlight and moisture.
Always wear protective eyewear, gloves, and sturdy footwear. Keep bystanders away from the work area and avoid using the trimmer in wet or slippery conditions.
