Toro Super Recycler 20486 Operator's Manual

To start the Toro Super Recycler 20486 mower, first ensure the fuel tank is filled and the oil level is adequate. Engage the parking brake, move the throttle to the 'fast' position, and pull the starter handle firmly.
If the mower does not start, check the fuel level and ensure it's fresh. Verify that the spark plug is connected and not fouled. Inspect the air filter for cleanliness, and make sure the throttle is in the correct position.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel. Move each lever to the desired height setting, ensuring all four wheels are set to the same level for an even cut.
Regular maintenance includes checking and replacing the oil, cleaning or replacing the air filter, inspecting and sharpening the blade, and checking the spark plug annually.
To clean the underside of the mower deck, ensure the engine is off and the fuel tank is empty. Tilt the mower carefully, and use a garden hose to spray off grass clippings and debris. Scrape off any stuck-on debris with a plastic scraper.
Excessive vibration might be due to an unbalanced or damaged blade. Check the blade for damage and ensure it's securely fastened. If needed, balance or replace the blade.
To replace the spark plug, disconnect the spark plug wire, remove the old spark plug using a spark plug wrench, and install a new, correctly gapped spark plug. Reconnect the spark plug wire.
Use SAE 30 or 10W-30 oil for the Toro Super Recycler 20486, depending on the ambient temperature. Refer to the owner's manual for specific recommendations.
To winterize the mower, run the engine until it stops to empty the fuel system. Change the oil, remove the spark plug and add a few drops of oil into the cylinder, then pull the starter handle slowly to distribute the oil. Store in a dry place.
Sharpen the mower blade at least once per mowing season, or more frequently if you notice uneven or poor quality cuts. Always balance the blade after sharpening.
