Toro Super Recycler 20464 Operator's Manual

To start the Toro Super Recycler 20464 mower, ensure the mower is on a flat surface. Check that the fuel valve is open and the spark plug is connected. Pull the starter handle firmly until the engine starts.
If the mower does not start, check the fuel level and refill if necessary. Inspect the spark plug for damage and ensure it is properly connected. Clean or replace the air filter if it is clogged.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 25 hours or at least once per season. Use SAE 30 or 10W-30 oil for best performance.
Disconnect the spark plug before removing the blade. Use a file or a grinder to sharpen the blade, maintaining the original angle. Balance the blade before reinstalling it.
Ensure the blades are sharp and clean. Adjust the cutting height for optimal grass length. Mow when the grass is dry and avoid mowing more than one-third of the grass height at a time.
After each use, disconnect the spark plug and use a hose to rinse the underside of the deck. For stubborn debris, use a plastic scraper. Avoid using metal tools that could damage the deck.
Before storage, clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and remove any remaining fuel. Store the mower in a dry place and cover it to protect from dust and moisture.
To adjust the self-propel system, locate the cable on the handle and use the adjustment knob to increase or decrease the tension as needed for the desired speed.
Excessive vibration can be caused by an unbalanced blade or debris on the blade. Check the blade for damage and balance, and clean the underside of the deck. Tighten any loose bolts.
To replace the air filter, locate the air filter cover on the side of the engine. Remove the cover, take out the old filter, and insert a new one of the same type. Replace the cover securely.
