To start the Toro Super Recycler 20461 mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, the throttle is set to 'fast', and the blade control bar is engaged. Pull the starter handle sharply.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 40°F and 10W-30 for temperatures below 40°F. Ensure the oil meets API service classification SJ or higher.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use and then every 25 hours or at the beginning of each mowing season.
Remove the blade and sharpen it using a file or a grinding wheel, maintaining the original angle. Balance the blade to avoid engine vibration.
After use, allow the engine to cool, then wash the mower with a garden hose. Avoid spraying water directly on the engine. Dry thoroughly to prevent rust.
Check the fuel level, spark plug, and air filter. Ensure the blade control bar is engaged. If the problem persists, consult the user manual or a professional technician.
To adjust the cutting height, use the height adjustment levers located on each wheel. Set all wheels to the same height for even mowing.
Ensure the blade is sharp and the deck is clean. Check if the grass is too wet or too tall. Adjust the mowing speed and height as necessary.
Clean the mower, change the oil, and empty the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer. Store in a dry place and disconnect the spark plug wire to prevent accidental starting.
Regularly check and change the oil, clean or replace the air filter, sharpen the blade, and inspect the mower for loose parts and wear. Follow the user manual for detailed maintenance intervals.
