Ensure that the mower is on a flat surface. Press the primer bulb three times, hold the safety bar against the handle, and pull the starter handle firmly.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use and then every 25 hours or at the start of each mowing season.
Check the fuel level and ensure it is fresh. Inspect the spark plug for wear or damage, and make sure the air filter is clean.
Sharpen or replace the mower blade regularly, ensure the deck is clean from clippings, and mow when the grass is dry.
After each use, use a garden hose to spray off grass clippings while the engine is off and cool. Avoid using a pressure washer.
The recommended cutting height is between 1.25 inches and 4.25 inches. Adjust the wheel height levers to set your desired cutting height.
Disconnect the spark plug wire, remove the old spark plug using a wrench, and install a new plug with the correct gap setting. Reattach the spark plug wire.
Drain the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer, change the oil, clean the mower, and store it in a dry place covered with a tarp.
Loosen the handle adjustment knobs, slide the handle to the desired height, and then tighten the knobs securely.
Check if the bag is full or clogged, ensure the blade is sharp, and inspect the chute for any obstructions.
