Sharpen the cutting teeth after every 25 hours of use or sooner if you notice a decrease in performance.
Ensure the fuel valve is closed and the spark plug wire is disconnected. Secure the grinder with tie-down straps to prevent movement during transportation.
Check the fuel level, ensure the fuel valve is open, inspect the spark plug for damage or fouling, and verify that the ON/OFF switch is set to 'ON'.
Perform regular checks on the oil level, air filter cleanliness, cutting teeth condition, and inspect for any loose bolts or parts.
Loosen the mounting bolts on the engine and adjust the belt tensioner until the belt has about 1/2 inch of deflection. Tighten the bolts securely.
Check for damaged or unbalanced cutting teeth, loose bolts, or worn bearings. Replace or repair any damaged components.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the old filter, and replace it with a new one. Ensure the cover is secured tightly.
Wear safety goggles, gloves, ear protection, and sturdy footwear. Keep bystanders at a safe distance and never operate on slopes greater than 15 degrees.
