To start the mower, ensure the fuel tank is filled and the oil level is adequate. Pull the starter handle slowly until you feel resistance, then pull quickly to start the engine.
First, ensure the fuel tank is empty or stabilized. Fold the handle following the instructions in the manual, then lift the mower by the rear handle and store it vertically.
Check for fuel, inspect the spark plug for wear, and ensure the air filter is clean. If issues persist, consult the user manual or contact Toro support.
Perform regular maintenance such as checking the oil before each use, cleaning the air filter every 25 hours, and sharpening the blade annually. Refer to the manual for detailed guidelines.
Adjust the cutting height by moving the height adjustment levers located on each wheel. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height setting.
Ensure the blade is sharp and installed correctly. Check that the deck is clean and free of grass clippings. Consider mowing when the grass is dry.
Disconnect the spark plug wire to prevent accidental starting. Use a garden hose to clean the underside of the deck, ensuring all grass clippings are removed.
Toro recommends using SAE 30 or SAE 10W-30 oil for optimal performance. Check the engine oil level regularly to ensure proper lubrication.
Check the drive belt for wear or damage. Ensure the drive cable is properly adjusted. Clean the wheels and drive system from debris.
Add fuel stabilizer to the tank, run the engine to distribute it, then shut it off. Clean the mower, change the oil, and remove the battery if applicable. Store it in a dry place.
