To start the mower, ensure the fuel tank is filled, the spark plug is connected, and the engine switch is in the "on" position. Then, pull the starter handle firmly.
To use the SmartStow feature, ensure the fuel tank cap is tightened and the oil cap is secured. Tilt the mower back using the handle and lock it into the upright position for compact storage.
It's recommended to sharpen the mower blades at least once per mowing season or after every 25 hours of use to ensure optimal performance and a clean cut.
If the mower won't start, check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected and clean, and verify that the air filter is not clogged. Replace any faulty parts as necessary.
To change the oil, unscrew the oil fill cap, tilt the mower on its side to drain the old oil, and refill with the recommended oil type. Be sure to dispose of the old oil properly.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using ethanol blends above E10, as they may damage the engine.
Uneven cutting can be fixed by checking that the wheels are set to the same height, ensuring the blade is sharp, and examining the deck for any obstructions or damage.
To clean the underside of the deck, make sure the engine is off and cool, then tilt the mower onto its side. Use a hose or scraper to remove grass clippings and debris.
Before winter storage, drain the fuel, change the oil, clean the mower, and remove the battery if applicable. Store in a dry, covered location.
Adjust the cutting height by moving the lever located near each wheel to the desired position. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
