To start the mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, the spark plug connected, and the throttle set to the "Start" position. Pull the starter handle firmly until the engine begins to run.
Check if the fuel tank is filled with fresh gasoline, the spark plug is clean and connected, and the air filter is not clogged. If the problem persists, consult the manual or contact Toro support.
It is recommended to sharpen the mower blade every 20-25 hours of use or at least once a mowing season to ensure a clean cut and optimal performance.
Locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel and adjust them to the desired cutting height. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Regular maintenance includes checking and replacing the oil, cleaning or replacing the air filter, inspecting the mower blade for sharpness, and ensuring all nuts and bolts are tight.
After use, disconnect the spark plug and tilt the mower back. Use a hose to rinse the underside of the deck, removing any grass clippings and debris. Allow it to dry before storing.
Use SAE 30 motor oil for optimal performance in temperatures above 32°F (0°C). For colder conditions, 10W-30 can be used. Check the manual for more details.
Uneven cutting may be caused by a dull blade, uneven tire pressure, or incorrect deck height settings. Ensure the blade is sharp, tire pressures are equal, and deck height is suitably adjusted.
To replace the spark plug, disconnect the wire, remove the old plug with a spark plug wrench, and install a new one by hand before tightening with the wrench. Reconnect the spark plug wire securely.
Drain the fuel tank, clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and store it in a dry, protected area. Remove the battery if applicable and cover the mower to prevent dust accumulation.
