Toro Recycler 55-cm 21764 Operator's Manual

To start the Toro Recycler 55-cm 21764 Mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, check that the oil is at the correct level, and pull the starter cord firmly. Make sure the safety bar is engaged during startup.
If the mower doesn't start, check the fuel level and quality, inspect the spark plug for damage or wear, and ensure the air filter is clean. Replace any faulty parts and try starting the engine again.
To improve cutting performance, regularly sharpen the mower blade, adjust the cutting height based on grass conditions, and ensure the underside of the mower deck is clean from debris and grass clippings.
Perform regular maintenance by changing the oil, cleaning or replacing the air filter, sharpening the blades, and checking the spark plug. Additionally, inspect cables and belts for wear and lubricate moving parts as needed.
After use, disconnect the spark plug wire, then use a hose to rinse the mower deck's underside. Remove any grass buildup and debris. Let the mower dry completely before storing it.
Uncut patches may result from a dull blade, incorrect mower height settings, or mowing too quickly. Ensure the blade is sharp, adjust the height according to grass length, and mow at a steady pace.
To winterize the mower, empty the fuel tank, remove the battery (if applicable), clean the mower thoroughly, and store it in a dry place. Consider adding a fuel stabilizer if storing with fuel.
Excessive vibration may be caused by an unbalanced blade, loose parts, or debris lodged in the mower. Check and balance the blade, tighten any loose components, and clear any obstructions.
To change the oil, run the mower for a few minutes to warm up the oil, then turn off the engine. Remove the oil fill cap, tilt the mower to drain the old oil into a pan, and refill with new oil.
Toro recommends using SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 40°F (4°C), and 10W-30 oil for temperatures below 40°F (4°C). Always check the user manual for specific oil recommendations.
