To start the Toro Recycler 55-cm 21762 mower, first ensure that the fuel tank is filled, and the oil level is adequate. Pull the safety bar towards the handle, then pull the starter rope firmly to start the engine.
If the mower doesn't start, check the fuel level and ensure fresh fuel is used. Verify the spark plug connection and clean or replace the spark plug if necessary. Ensure the air filter is clean and not clogged.
To clean the mower deck, first ensure the engine is off and disconnect the spark plug. Tilt the mower on its side and use a hose to spray off grass clippings and debris. Avoid using high pressure to prevent damage.
It's recommended to change the oil every 25 hours of use or at the beginning of each mowing season. Use the appropriate oil type as specified in the user manual.
Ensure that the mower blade is sharp and balanced. Regularly remove any built-up debris under the deck and adjust the cutting height to suit the grass conditions.
Excessive vibration may indicate a bent or unbalanced blade. Inspect the blade for damage and replace it if necessary. Also, check for loose bolts and tighten them.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel. Move the levers to the desired position to raise or lower the cutting height uniformly.
Use clean, fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol to prevent engine damage.
To store the mower, drain the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops. Clean the mower thoroughly and store it in a dry, covered area. Disconnect the battery if applicable.
If the self-propel feature stops working, check the drive belt for wear or damage. Inspect the drive cable for proper tension and adjust or replace it if necessary.
