To start the Toro Recycler 55-cm 20955 Mower, ensure the mower is on a flat surface. Connect the spark plug wire, press the primer bulb three times, hold the handle bar, and pull the starter rope briskly.
If the mower won't start, check the fuel level and ensure that it's fresh. Verify the spark plug connection and inspect it for wear or damage. Additionally, make sure the air filter is clean and the primer bulb is functioning.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel. Move the levers to the desired position, ensuring all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use for a new mower, and then every 25 hours of operation or at the start of each mowing season. Always refer to the owner's manual for specific instructions.
The recommended oil type is SAE 30 for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 5W-30 for temperatures below 32°F (0°C). Ensure to use a high-quality oil for optimal performance.
To clean the grass clipping bag, remove it from the mower, empty the contents, and rinse the bag with a hose. Allow it to dry completely before reattaching it to the mower.
Excessive vibration may be due to an unbalanced blade, loose components, or debris lodged in the mower. Check the blade for damage, tighten any loose parts, and clear any debris.
To sharpen the blade, first disconnect the spark plug wire for safety. Remove the blade and use a file or a bench grinder to sharpen it. Ensure the blade is balanced before reattaching.
At the end of the mowing season, clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, inspect and sharpen the blade, check and clean the spark plug, and store the mower in a dry place.
Store the mower in a dry, sheltered location. Ensure the fuel tank is empty or treated with a fuel stabilizer. Clean the mower and cover it to protect it from dust and debris.
