To start the Toro Recycler 55-cm 20655 Mower, ensure the fuel tank is filled and the oil level is adequate. Pull the starter handle slowly until you feel resistance, then pull it sharply to start the engine.
To clean the mower deck, first ensure the mower is off and the spark plug is disconnected. Use a hose to spray off grass clippings and debris. For stubborn buildup, use a plastic scraper.
If the mower does not start, check for fuel, inspect the spark plug for damage or buildup, and ensure the air filter is clean. Also, verify that the mower is not in 'stop' mode.
Regular maintenance includes checking and changing the oil, cleaning or replacing the air filter, sharpening the blades, and inspecting the spark plug.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the lever on each wheel and move it to the desired position. Ensure all wheels are set at the same height for an even cut.
Excessive vibration could be due to an unbalanced blade or debris caught in the blade area. Inspect the blade for damage and remove any obstructions.
To replace the blade, disconnect the spark plug and turn the mower on its side. Use a wrench to remove the blade bolt, replace the blade, and tighten the bolt securely.
The Toro Recycler 20655 requires unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 87 and no more than 10% ethanol.
To winterize the mower, empty the fuel tank, change the oil, clean the deck, and store the mower in a dry, sheltered area. Disconnect the spark plug to prevent accidental starts.
Uncut patches can result from a dull blade, incorrect cutting height, or mowing too quickly. Sharpen the blade, adjust the height, and mow at a moderate pace.
