To start the Toro Recycler 53-cm 20995 Mower, ensure the mower is on a flat surface. Hold the brake handle, press the primer bulb three times, and pull the starter rope briskly.
If the mower doesn't start, check the fuel level and ensure fresh fuel is used. Inspect the spark plug for wear or damage, and ensure it is properly connected. Clean the air filter if dirty.
Change the oil in your Toro Recycler 53-cm 20995 Mower after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 50 hours of operation or at least once per mowing season.
To clean the mower deck, ensure the mower is off and disconnect the spark plug wire. Use a garden hose to rinse off grass and debris, and use a plastic scraper for stubborn buildup.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel. Move each lever to the desired position, ensuring all wheels are set to the same height.
Excessive vibration can be caused by an unbalanced blade. Check the blade for damage or debris, and ensure it is securely fastened. If vibration persists, have the blade balanced or replaced by a professional.
To replace the spark plug, disconnect the spark plug wire and use a spark plug wrench to remove the old plug. Install a new plug by threading it in by hand first, then tighten with the wrench. Reconnect the spark plug wire.
Check the air filter every 25 hours of use. Clean it by tapping gently to remove dirt or replace it if it's exceptionally dirty or damaged. Ensure it is properly seated when reinstalled.
To prepare for winter storage, run the mower until the fuel tank is empty, or add fuel stabilizer to a full tank. Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and remove the battery if applicable. Store in a dry place.
If the self-propel feature is not working, check the drive cable for proper tension and adjust if necessary. Inspect the drive belt for wear or damage and replace it if needed.
