To start the Toro Recycler 48-cm 20952 mower, ensure the fuel shut-off valve is open, engage the engine control bar, and pull the starter handle briskly.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, inspect the air filter for clogs, and verify the engine control bar is engaged properly.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of operation and then every 25 hours or at the beginning of each mowing season.
Remove the blade following the instructions in the manual, secure it in a vice, and sharpen the edge using a file or grinder, ensuring to balance the blade before reinstallation.
Adjust the cutting height by moving the height adjustment lever located on each wheel to the desired position. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Check the air filter before each use. Clean or replace it if it is dirty. Foam filters should be washed with warm soapy water and dried, while paper filters should be replaced if dirty.
Ensure the blade is sharp and clean, mow when the grass is dry, and avoid cutting more than one-third of the grass blade length at a time.
Check for a damaged blade, loose bolts, or debris lodged under the mower. Tighten any loose parts and remove any obstructions.
Drain the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer, change the oil, clean the mower deck, and store the mower in a dry place after disconnecting the spark plug wire.
Ensure the blade is sharp and balanced, the deck is clean, and the cutting height is set correctly. Mow at a slower pace if necessary for a cleaner cut.
