To start the Toro Recycler 48-cm 20914 Mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, engage the throttle, and pull the starter handle briskly. Ensure the ignition key is in the 'on' position if applicable.
If the mower does not start, check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, and inspect the air filter for clogs. Additionally, verify that the fuel is fresh and the carburetor is clean.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 25 hours of operation or at least once per mowing season. Ensure to use the recommended oil type as specified in the user manual.
Use fresh, clean unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
Regularly inspect the blade for sharpness and damage. Sharpen the blade every 20-25 hours of use or if it becomes dull. Ensure the mower is turned off and the spark plug is disconnected before removing the blade.
After use, brush off grass clippings and debris. Use a hose to wash the underside of the mower deck, but avoid water contact with the engine. Dry thoroughly to prevent rust.
Ensure the mowing deck is level, and inspect the blade for damage or dullness. Check the tire pressure and adjust if necessary. Ensure the grass height is appropriate for mowing.
To store the mower for winter, drain the fuel or add a fuel stabilizer, clean the mower thoroughly, and change the oil. Store in a dry, covered area to prevent rust and corrosion.
Adjust the cutting height by moving the levers located on each wheel. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Excessive vibration can be caused by an unbalanced blade or debris caught in the blade area. Inspect the blade for damage and balance issues, and clear any debris from the mower deck.
