Toro Recycler 48-cm 20903B Operator's Manual

To start your Toro Recycler mower, ensure that the fuel valve is open, the throttle is set to choke for a cold start, and the blade control bar is held against the handle before pulling the starter handle.
For optimal performance, use SAE 30 oil above 32°F (0°C) and 10W-30 oil for a temperature range that covers 0°F (-18°C) and above.
It is recommended to sharpen the mower blade after every 20 to 25 hours of use to ensure a clean cut and maintain the health of your lawn.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected and not dirty or damaged, verify that the air filter is clean, and make sure the fuel is fresh.
To change the oil, run the engine for a few minutes to warm it up, then turn it off. Remove the oil fill cap, tip the mower on its side to drain the oil into a container, and refill with fresh oil.
After disconnecting the spark plug, tilt the mower on its side and use a garden hose to rinse off grass and debris. Scrape off any stuck grass clippings with a brush or plastic scraper.
Adjust the cutting height by moving the lever at each wheel. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Excessive vibration can be caused by a damaged or unbalanced blade, loose engine mounting bolts, or debris caught in the blade area. Check and secure all components.
Ensure the blade is sharp, mow when the grass is dry, and avoid cutting more than one-third of the grass height at a time for better mulching performance.
Regular maintenance includes checking and changing the oil, cleaning or replacing the air filter, inspecting the spark plug, sharpening the blade, and cleaning the mower deck.
