To start the mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, set the throttle to the choke position if the engine is cold, pull the start handle gently until resistance is felt, then pull quickly and strongly to start the engine.
Perform maintenance at regular intervals: change the oil every 25 hours of operation, clean or replace the air filter every 25 hours, and sharpen or replace the blade at least once per season.
Check that there is enough fuel, inspect the spark plug for cleanliness and proper connection, ensure the air filter is clean, and verify that the blade control lever is engaged.
Excessive vibration may be caused by a damaged blade or loose components. Inspect the blade for damage and ensure all nuts and bolts are tightened.
To adjust the cutting height, use the height adjustment lever located on each wheel. Move the lever to the desired height position for your preferred grass length.
Use SAE 30 or SAE 10W-30 detergent oil with an API service classification of SF, SG, SH, SJ, or higher for optimal performance.
After use, turn off the mower and disconnect the spark plug wire. Use a hose to wash off grass clippings and debris from the deck. Avoid spraying water directly on the engine.
Check the drive cable for proper tension and adjust if necessary. Also, inspect the drive belt for wear or damage and replace it if needed.
Always wear appropriate safety gear, such as goggles and sturdy footwear. Keep hands and feet away from the mower deck, and never mow on wet grass to avoid slipping.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, remove fuel or add a fuel stabilizer, and store it in a dry, sheltered area. Disconnect the spark plug and remove the battery if applicable.
