To start the Toro Recycler 48-cm 20835 Mower, ensure the fuel tank is filled, the oil level is correct, and the spark plug is connected. Engage the safety handle and pull the starter cord firmly.
Perform regular maintenance including oil changes every 25 hours of use, cleaning the air filter every 25 hours, and sharpening the blade at least once per mowing season.
Check if the fuel tank is filled, the spark plug is clean and connected, and the air filter is not clogged. Ensure the safety handle is engaged while starting.
Use SAE 30 or 10W-30 oil for temperatures above 0°C (32°F). Refer to the owner's manual for specific recommendations based on ambient temperature.
Adjust the cutting height by using the height adjustment levers located on each wheel. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Excessive vibration can be caused by a damaged blade or debris lodged in the mower deck. Inspect the blade for damage and clean the deck thoroughly.
Turn off the mower and disconnect the spark plug. Use a garden hose to rinse off grass clippings and debris from the mower deck. Dry thoroughly to prevent rust.
Ensure the blade is sharp and mow when the grass is dry. Avoid cutting more than one-third of the grass height at a time for optimal mulching performance.
Check the drive cable for proper tension and ensure it is connected correctly. Inspect the drive belt for wear or damage and replace if necessary.
Drain the fuel tank, remove the battery if applicable, and clean the mower thoroughly. Store it in a dry place and cover it to protect against dust and moisture.
