To start the mower, ensure the battery is charged, sit in the operator's seat, engage the parking brake, and turn the ignition key to the start position. Release the key once the engine starts.
Check the battery charge, ensure the parking brake is engaged, and verify that the blades are disengaged. If the mower still doesn't start, inspect the spark plug and fuel level.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours or at the beginning of each mowing season. Use SAE 30 motor oil for optimal performance.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol as it may damage the engine.
Ensure blades are sharp and properly balanced. Adjust the cutting height to the appropriate level for your lawn, and mow at regular intervals to prevent overgrowth.
Check for debris lodged in the deck or blade area. Inspect the blades for damage and ensure they are balanced and securely fastened. Excessive vibration may also indicate a need for engine service.
After ensuring the engine is off and cool, use a garden hose with a spray nozzle to remove grass clippings and debris from the deck. Avoid using high-pressure washers as they may damage components.
Regularly check and change the oil, inspect and clean the air filter, sharpen the blades, and ensure tire pressure is correct. Periodically inspect belts and replace them if worn.
Locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel. Move the levers to the desired position to raise or lower the cutting height. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Check the tire pressure to ensure even balance. Inspect the blades for sharpness and damage, and ensure they are correctly installed. Verify that the deck is level from side to side.
