To start the Toro Recycler 22-inch 20373 mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, the throttle is set to 'fast', and the primer is pressed three times. Pull the starter handle briskly until the engine starts.
It's recommended to check the oil level before each use, clean the air filter every 25 hours of operation, change the oil annually or after 50 hours of use, and sharpen the blade at least once per mowing season.
Ensure the blade is sharp, mow with a full gas tank, and keep the underside of the deck clean to prevent grass buildup. Adjust the cutting height to suit the grass length and mow in dry conditions.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected and in good condition, verify that the air filter is clean, and make sure the oil level is adequate. Inspect for any blockages in the mower deck as well.
To change the oil, run the engine a few minutes to warm it up, then turn it off and disconnect the spark plug. Tilt the mower to drain the oil into a pan, replace the oil filter, and refill with the recommended oil type and amount.
Use clean, fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol.
Disconnect the spark plug, turn the mower on its side, and use a wrench to remove the blade bolt. Replace with a new, sharp blade, ensuring it's installed with the cutting edge facing the correct direction, then tighten the bolt securely.
Drain the fuel tank, change the oil, clean the mower deck, and store it in a dry, sheltered area. Disconnect the spark plug and remove the battery if applicable. Cover the mower to protect it from dust and debris.
Ensure the blade is sharp and the deck is clean. Mow when the grass is dry and adjust the mower's height to avoid cutting too much grass at once. Consider using a mulching blade for finer clippings.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel. Move the levers to the desired position, ensuring all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
