To start the mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, press the primer bulb three times, pull and hold the blade control bar against the handle, and then pull the starter handle sharply.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, inspect the air filter for blockages, and verify that the starter rope is not damaged.
Regularly check the blade for sharpness and damage. Sharpen or replace the blade as needed, typically after every 25 hours of use. Always disconnect the spark plug before servicing the blade.
After use, disconnect the spark plug wire, tip the mower on its side with the air filter up, and use a brush or hose to remove grass clippings and debris. Ensure the underside is dry before storage.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 50 hours or annually, whichever comes first. Use SAE 30 oil for optimal performance.
Adjust the cutting height by moving the adjustment lever on each wheel to the desired setting, ensuring all four wheels are set to the same height.
Check if the wheels are set to the same height, inspect the blade for sharpness and balance, and ensure the mower deck is clean.
Excessive vibration may be caused by a bent blade or loose parts. Inspect and replace the blade if necessary, and tighten any loose components.
Ensure the blade is sharp and clean, mow when grass is dry, and do not cut more than one-third of the grass height at a time. Regularly clean the deck to prevent clippings buildup.
Empty the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer, clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and store it in a dry, sheltered location. Disconnect the spark plug wire to prevent accidental starting.
