To start the Toro Recycler 22-inch 20370 Mower, ensure the fuel tank is filled, the oil level is correct, and the spark plug is connected. Pull the starter handle firmly and steadily until the engine starts.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C). For temperatures below 32°F (0°C), use SAE 5W-30 or synthetic 5W-30 oil.
First, disconnect the spark plug wire to prevent accidental starting. Tilt the mower and secure it. Remove the blade and sharpen it using a file or grinder, ensuring balance. Reinstall the blade and reconnect the spark plug wire.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, and inspect the air filter for clogs. If the problem persists, examine the spark plug condition and replace if necessary.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours or at least once a season. Regular oil changes ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the filter, and gently tap it to remove debris. If it's excessively dirty, wash it with warm soapy water, rinse, and let it dry completely before reinstalling.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and add fuel stabilizer to the tank. Disconnect the spark plug and store the mower in a cool, dry place. Cover it to protect from dust and debris.
Ensure the blade is sharp and installed correctly. Check for grass buildup under the deck and clean if necessary. Adjust the cutting height for optimal performance.
To adjust the wheel height, move the height adjustment lever located at each wheel. Select the desired height setting and ensure all wheels are set to the same level for an even cut.
Always wear eye protection and sturdy footwear. Clear the lawn of any debris before mowing. Never make adjustments or clean the mower while it is running. Use caution on slopes and do not mow wet grass.
