To start the Toro Recycler 22-inch 20337HD Mower, ensure that the mower is on a level surface. Squeeze the blade control bar to the handle and pull the recoil starter handle briskly.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Do not use gasoline with more than 10% ethanol, as it can damage the engine.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours of use or annually, whichever comes first.
If the mower won't start, check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected properly, and confirm that the blade control bar is engaged. Clean or replace the air filter if necessary.
To adjust the cutting height, move the height adjustment lever on each wheel to the desired position. Make sure all wheels are set at the same height for an even cut.
Check the air filter every 25 hours of use. Clean it by tapping it gently to remove debris or replace it if it's excessively dirty or damaged.
To sharpen the mower blade, remove the spark plug, tilt the mower, and remove the blade. Sharpen the blade using a file or a grinder, ensuring it is balanced before reinstalling.
Excessive vibration may be caused by a damaged or unbalanced blade. Inspect the blade for damage and ensure it is properly balanced and securely attached.
To clean the undercarriage, use a garden hose to rinse away grass clippings and debris. Be sure to disconnect the spark plug before cleaning to prevent accidental starting.
If the self-propel feature is not working, check the drive belt for wear or damage and adjust the cable tension if necessary. Consult the owner's manual for detailed instructions.
