To start the Toro Recycler 22-inch 20068 mower, first ensure the fuel tank is filled and the oil level is adequate. Prime the engine by pressing the primer bulb three times. Pull the starter handle firmly while holding down the safety bar.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 5W-30 or SAE 10W-30 for temperatures below 32°F (0°C) in the Toro Recycler 22-inch 20068 mower.
Sharpen the blade of your Toro Recycler mower at least once per mowing season or after every 25 hours of use to maintain cutting efficiency.
After each use, clean the mower deck by tilting the mower and using a hose to remove grass clippings. Ensure the mower is off and the spark plug wire is disconnected before cleaning.
For starting issues, check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is clean and properly connected, and verify that the air filter is clean. Replace any faulty parts as needed.
At the end of the mowing season, drain the fuel, change the oil, clean the mower deck, inspect the spark plug, and store the mower in a dry place.
To enhance mulching performance, keep the blade sharp, mow when the grass is dry, and avoid cutting more than one-third of the grass height at a time.
Excessive vibration can be due to a damaged or unbalanced blade. Inspect the blade for damage and replace or balance it as necessary.
To change the air filter, remove the cover by unscrewing it, take out the old filter, and insert a new one. Ensure the new filter is seated properly before replacing the cover.
If the mower is not cutting evenly, check if the blade is dull or damaged and sharpen or replace it. Also, ensure the wheels are set to the same height.
