To start the Toro Recycler 22-inch 20066 mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, the spark plug is connected, and the mower is on a flat surface. Hold the blade control bar against the handle and pull the starter rope firmly.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 5W-30 for temperatures below 32°F (0°C). Always check the oil level before each use.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the adjustment levers on each wheel. Move the levers to your desired height setting, ensuring all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Ensure the mulching plug is correctly installed in the rear discharge chute. Check the blade for sharpness and replace or sharpen if necessary. Additionally, mow when the grass is dry to improve mulching performance.
Replace the air filter annually or more often if used in dusty conditions. Regularly check and clean the filter to ensure optimal engine performance.
Excessive vibration might be due to an unbalanced or damaged blade. Inspect the blade for damage and balance it if necessary. Tighten any loose hardware on the mower.
Regularly inspect the blade for nicks and dullness. Sharpen the blade every 20-25 hours of use and replace it if it's damaged beyond repair. Ensure the blade is balanced before reinstalling.
To winterize, clean the mower deck, empty the fuel tank or add fuel stabilizer, change the oil, and remove the spark plug. Store in a dry place and cover the mower to protect it from dust and debris.
Check the fuel level and quality, ensure the spark plug is connected and in good condition, and verify the air filter is clean. Also, ensure the blade control bar is properly engaged.
Routinely check and change the oil, clean or replace the air filter, inspect the spark plug, and sharpen the blade. Regularly clean the mower deck and ensure all nuts and bolts are tightened.
