To start the Toro Recycler 22-inch 20014 Mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, the spark plug is connected, and the throttle is set to 'fast.' Pull the starter handle firmly to start the engine.
If the mower doesn't start, check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, and inspect the air filter for clogs. Also, verify that the safety handle is engaged while starting.
It's recommended to change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then at least once every mowing season or every 25 hours of operation.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 5W-30 oil for colder temperatures. Always refer to the user manual for specific recommendations based on your climate.
To clean the deck, ensure the engine is off and the spark plug wire is disconnected. Use a garden hose to rinse away clippings and debris. Avoid using a pressure washer as it may damage the mower.
Ensure the blade is sharp and balanced. Adjust the cutting height to the desired level and mow with a steady pace to avoid uneven cuts.
Disconnect the spark plug wire and tip the mower on its side with the air filter facing up. Use a socket wrench to remove the blade bolt. Replace the blade with a new one and secure it tightly.
Check if the wheels are set to the same height, ensure the blade is sharp, and inspect for any debris caught under the deck that could obstruct the cutting path.
Drain the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer, change the oil, clean the deck, and store the mower in a dry place. Disconnect the spark plug wire to prevent accidental starts.
To adjust the handle height, loosen the knobs on both sides of the handle. Move the handle to the desired height and retighten the knobs securely.
