To start the mower, ensure the fuel tank is filled, the oil level is correct, and the spark plug is connected. Pull the starter rope while holding the operator presence control bar against the handle.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is properly connected, and verify that the air filter is clean. If the problem persists, inspect the spark plug for wear or damage.
To adjust the cutting height, use the height adjustment levers located on each wheel. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Regularly inspect the blade for sharpness and wear. Sharpen or replace the blade annually or when it becomes dull. Always disconnect the spark plug before servicing the blade.
Turn off the mower and disconnect the spark plug. Use a hose to wash away grass clippings from the deck. Avoid spraying water directly on the engine. Allow the mower to dry before storing it.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 87. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours or annually, whichever comes first. Use SAE 30 or 10W-30 oil for best performance.
Check for debris stuck in the blade area and ensure the blade is balanced and securely attached. Inspect the engine mounting bolts and tighten if necessary.
Ensure the blade is sharp and the deck is clean. Mow when the grass is dry and adjust the cutting height to avoid cutting more than one-third of the grass blade at a time.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and empty the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer. Store the mower in a dry place and cover it to protect from dust and moisture.
