To start the Toro Recycler 21-inch 21321 mower, first ensure the gas tank is filled and the spark plug is connected. Prime the engine by pressing the primer bulb three times. Pull the starter handle firmly while holding the safety bar against the handle.
If the mower does not start, check the fuel level and ensure fresh gasoline is used. Inspect the spark plug for damage or fouling and clean or replace it if necessary. Make sure the air filter is clean and not clogged.
Change the oil in your Toro Recycler mower after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 25 hours of operation or once per mowing season. Use SAE 30 detergent oil for optimal performance.
To improve cutting performance, regularly sharpen the mower blade and ensure the deck is clean and free of grass clippings. Mow with the engine at full throttle and adjust the cutting height for optimal results.
Regular maintenance includes changing the oil, cleaning or replacing the air filter, sharpening the blade, checking the spark plug, and cleaning the mower deck. Follow the maintenance schedule in the user manual for best results.
To adjust the cutting height on the Toro Recycler 21321, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel. Move the levers to the desired position, ensuring all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Excessive vibration may be caused by a damaged or unbalanced blade. Inspect the blade for damage and replace it if necessary. Ensure the blade is securely fastened to the mower.
It is recommended to use clean, fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Ethanol blends up to 10% (E10) are acceptable, but avoid using higher ethanol blends as they can damage the engine.
After ensuring the engine is off and the spark plug is disconnected, tip the mower on its side. Use a hose to remove grass clippings and debris from the deck. Avoid using a pressure washer, as it may damage components.
For storage, empty the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer to prevent fuel deterioration. Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and remove the spark plug. Store the mower in a dry, covered area to protect it from the elements.
