Toro Recycler 21-inch 20526C Operator's Manual

The recommended oil type for the Toro Recycler 21-inch 20526C mower is SAE 30 for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 5W-30 for colder conditions.
It is recommended to change the oil after the first 5 hours of use and then every 25-50 hours of operation or at least once each year.
If your mower won't start, check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected and clean, and inspect the air filter. Additionally, verify that the mower blade is not obstructed.
To sharpen the blades, first disconnect the spark plug wire for safety, remove the blade, and use a file or bench grinder to sharpen, ensuring to maintain the original angle. Rebalance the blade before reinstallation.
Regular maintenance includes checking the oil level, cleaning or replacing the air filter, inspecting the spark plug, sharpening the blade, and cleaning the mower deck after each use.
To adjust the cutting height, use the height adjustment levers located at each wheel. Move the lever to the desired cutting height position, ensuring all four wheels are set equally.
Excessive vibration can be caused by an unbalanced blade, loose parts, or debris in the mower deck. Check the blade balance, tighten any loose parts, and clean the deck.
Before storing, clean the mower, change the oil, remove gasoline or add fuel stabilizer, disconnect the spark plug, and store it in a dry, covered area.
Use fresh, clean, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol.
Uneven cutting may be due to a dull or damaged blade, incorrect wheel height settings, or an uneven lawn surface. Sharpen or replace the blade, check wheel heights, and mow on a dry lawn.
