To start the mower, ensure the fuel tank is filled, the spark plug is connected, and the engine oil is at the correct level. Pull the starter handle firmly to start the engine.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is securely connected and in good condition, and verify that the air filter is clean. If the issue persists, consult the user manual or contact a service professional.
Change the engine oil after the first 5 hours of use, then annually or every 25 hours of operation, whichever comes first.
Use SAE 30 or SAE 10W-30 motor oil for optimal performance. Always check the manual for specific recommendations.
Turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug. Use a garden hose to wash the underside of the mower deck. Remove any grass clippings and debris to prevent buildup.
At the start of the season, change the oil, sharpen the blade, clean or replace the air filter, and check the spark plug. Ensure all nuts and bolts are tightened.
Disconnect the spark plug and turn the mower on its side. Remove the blade by loosening the bolt. Use a file or a grinder to sharpen the blade evenly, then reattach it securely.
Ensure the blade is sharp, and the deck is clean. Mow when the grass is dry and adjust the cutting height if necessary. Consider using a mulching blade for better results.
Excessive vibration can be caused by an unbalanced blade. Check if the blade is damaged or improperly installed. Tighten any loose parts and replace the blade if necessary.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and remove the fuel or add a fuel stabilizer. Store the mower in a dry place and disconnect the spark plug. Cover the mower to protect it from dust.
