To start the Toro Recycler 21-inch 20327B Mower, ensure the fuel tank is filled, the oil level is adequate, and the spark plug is connected. Pull the starter handle briskly to engage the engine.
If the mower does not start, check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, and inspect the air filter for any blockages. Also, ensure the safety handle is fully engaged while starting.
The mower blades should be sharpened at least once per mowing season or after approximately 20-25 hours of use to ensure optimal performance.
Toro recommends using SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 5W-30 for temperatures below 32°F (0°C).
To clean the mower deck, ensure the machine is off and disconnect the spark plug. Use a hose to rinse off grass clippings and debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals or power washers.
Uncut grass patches can be caused by dull blades, incorrect mowing height, or debris buildup under the deck. Ensure the blades are sharp and clean the deck regularly. Adjust the mowing height if necessary.
To change the spark plug, disconnect the spark plug wire, use a spark plug wrench to remove the old plug, and install a new spark plug, ensuring it is tightened to the correct torque. Reconnect the spark plug wire.
Before storing the mower for winter, drain the fuel tank, change the oil, clean the deck, and remove the spark plug. Store it in a dry place and cover it to protect from dust and moisture.
To adjust the cutting height, use the height adjustment lever located near each wheel. Move the lever to the desired position, ensuring all four wheels are set to the same height for even cutting.
Excessive vibration can be caused by an unbalanced blade, loose hardware, or debris caught in the mower. Check the blade balance, tighten any loose parts, and clean the underside of the deck.
