Toro Recycler 21-inch 20321 Operator's Manual

To start the Toro Recycler 21-inch 20321 mower, first ensure that the mower is on a flat surface. Prime the engine by pressing the primer bulb three times. Hold the safety bar down against the handle and pull the starter rope.
If the mower won't start, check for fuel in the tank, ensure the spark plug is connected securely, and verify that the air filter is clean. Also, make sure the safety bar is fully engaged when attempting to start.
The mower blade should be sharpened at least once a season or after every 20-25 hours of use, depending on the mowing conditions. Dull blades can damage the grass and strain the engine.
To change the oil, warm up the mower for a few minutes, then disconnect the spark plug. Tilt the mower to drain the oil into a suitable container. Refill with SAE 30 oil, checking the level with the dipstick.
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol as it can damage the engine components.
To enhance mulching performance, ensure the blade is sharp and the underside of the deck is clean. Mow when the grass is dry and avoid cutting more than one-third of the grass height at a time.
At the end of the season, clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, empty the fuel tank, and inspect the spark plug. Store the mower in a dry, protected area.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel. Move all four levers to the desired position, ensuring the mower is level.
Excessive vibration may be due to an unbalanced blade or debris under the deck. Check and clean the deck, and ensure the blade is balanced and securely attached.
After using the mower, disconnect the spark plug and use a garden hose to rinse grass clippings from the deck. Avoid spraying water directly on the engine. Dry the mower thoroughly before storing.
