Toro Recycler 21-inch 20107 Operator's Manual

To start the Toro Recycler 21-inch 20107 mower, ensure that the fuel valve is open, the throttle is set to 'fast', and the blade control bar is held against the handle. Then, pull the starter handle firmly.
Use SAE 30 detergent oil with an API service classification of SF, SG, SH, SJ, SL, or higher for temperatures above 32°F (0°C). Use SAE 5W-30 or 10W-30 for temperatures below 32°F (0°C).
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours or at least once a season thereafter.
If the mower won't start, check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, inspect the air filter for clogs, and verify that the blade control bar is engaged. If necessary, replace the spark plug and clean or replace the air filter.
To sharpen the blade, disconnect the spark plug wire for safety, then remove the blade from the mower. Use a file or a bench grinder to sharpen the cutting edges, maintaining the original angle. Balance the blade before reinstalling it.
To adjust the cutting height, move the height adjustment lever at each wheel to the desired setting. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Before storing for winter, clean the mower deck, change the oil, remove the spark plug and add a few drops of oil into the cylinder, then pull the starter rope to distribute the oil. Store it in a dry, secure place.
Uneven cutting patterns can be caused by a dull blade, uneven tire pressure, or an incorrect cutting height. Sharpen the blade, check and adjust tire pressure, and ensure all wheels are set to the same height.
Excessive vibration may indicate a damaged blade or loose engine mounting bolts. Check the blade for damage and balance, and tighten any loose bolts. Replace the blade if necessary.
To clean the air filter, remove it from the mower and gently tap it to remove debris. If it's excessively dirty, wash it with warm, soapy water, rinse, and allow it to dry completely before reinstalling.
