To start the Toro Recycler 21-inch 20053 Mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, the throttle is set to 'Fast', and the blade control bar is engaged. Then, pull the starter handle firmly.
If the mower does not start, check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, and verify that the air filter is clean. Also, check for any obstructions in the blade area.
To improve cutting performance, regularly sharpen the blade, mow when the grass is dry, and adjust the cutting height appropriately for the grass type and condition.
To change the oil, run the engine briefly to warm it up, then turn it off. Remove the oil cap, tilt the mower on its side, and drain the old oil into a container. Refill with the specified oil type and quantity.
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
Regularly clean the deck, sharpen or replace the blade, change the oil, and check the air filter. Ensure all components are tightened and inspect for wear and tear.
Excessive vibration may be due to an unbalanced blade. Check to see if the blade is bent or damaged, and replace it if necessary. Ensure all bolts and nuts are properly tightened.
To adjust the cutting height, use the height adjustment levers located on each wheel. Move the levers to the desired position, ensuring all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Before storing, clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, remove the spark plug, and add fuel stabilizer to the tank. Store in a dry, sheltered location.
Uncut patches may occur if the blade is dull or damaged. Ensure the blade is sharp and properly installed. Additionally, check the mowing speed and adjust if necessary.
