Toro Recycler 20454 Operator's Manual

To start the Toro Recycler 20454 mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, the throttle is set to 'Fast', and the blade control is engaged. Pull the starter rope briskly to start the engine.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 40°F (4°C) and SAE 10W-30 for temperatures below 40°F (4°C) for optimal engine performance.
Sharpen the mower blade at least once a season or after every 25 hours of use to ensure a clean cut and healthy lawn.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is clean and connected, verify the air filter is not clogged, and make sure the throttle is in the correct position.
Regularly clean the deck to prevent grass buildup, sharpen the blade, and ensure the engine is running at full speed.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the old filter, and replace it with a new one. Ensure the new filter is seated properly before replacing the cover.
The recommended mowing height is between 2.5 to 3.5 inches, depending on the grass type and season. Adjust the wheel height levers to achieve the desired cut.
Run the engine dry of fuel, change the oil, remove the battery if applicable, and store the mower in a dry place. Consider using a fuel stabilizer if fuel is left in the tank.
After each use, clean the mower deck of grass clippings, check the air filter, and inspect the blade for damage. Regularly clean and lubricate moving parts.
Adjust the self-propelled drive speed using the lever located on the handlebar to set the desired pace. Ensure the cable is properly tensioned for smooth operation.
