To start the Toro Recycler 20355 mower, ensure the fuel tank is filled, the spark plug wire is connected, and the mower is on a flat surface. Pull the starter handle briskly to start the engine.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) or SAE 10W-30 for varying temperature ranges. Check the owner's manual for specific recommendations.
To clean the cutting deck, disconnect the spark plug wire, tilt the mower, and use a garden hose to rinse off grass clippings. Ensure the deck is dry before storing.
Adjust the cutting height by moving the height adjustment lever located near each wheel to the desired position for a uniform cut.
Replace the air filter every 25 operating hours or at the beginning of each mowing season for optimal performance.
If the mower won't start, check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is clean and connected, and confirm that the air filter is not clogged.
To sharpen the blade, remove it using a wrench, secure it in a vice, and sharpen with a file or grinding wheel. Balance the blade before reattaching.
To change the spark plug, disconnect the spark plug wire, use a spark plug wrench to remove the old plug, and install a new one with the same specifications.
At the end of the season, drain the fuel, clean the mower, check for worn parts, and store it in a dry place to prevent rust and corrosion.
Uneven cutting can be resolved by checking that the tires are properly inflated, the blade is sharp and balanced, and the cutting deck is level.
