To start the Toro 10502 Mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, the throttle is set to the choke position, and the safety bar is engaged. Pull the starter handle firmly.
If the mower does not start, check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, and clean or replace the air filter if necessary.
It is recommended to change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 25 hours of operation or at the start of each mowing season.
Use SAE 30 oil for optimal performance in temperatures above 32°F (0°C). For temperatures below 32°F, use SAE 10W-30.
To clean the rear bagger, first remove it from the mower. Empty any grass clippings, then wash with water and allow it to dry completely before reattaching.
Check the blade for sharpness and balance. Sharpen or replace the blade if necessary. Also, ensure the deck is level and adjust if needed.
Adjust the cutting height by using the height adjustment levers located on each wheel. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Before storing, clean the mower, change the oil, empty the fuel tank or add fuel stabilizer, and remove the battery if applicable. Store in a dry place.
Ensure the grass bag is not overfilled, keep the blade sharp, and mow when the grass is dry to improve bagging performance.
To replace the spark plug, disconnect the spark plug wire, use a spark plug wrench to remove the old plug, and install a new plug with the correct gap. Reconnect the wire.
