To start the Toro Rake-o-Vac 51573 Vacuum, first ensure the fuel tank is filled, and the oil level is adequate. Turn the ignition switch to the "On" position, then pull the starter rope firmly until the engine starts.
Check if the bag is full or clogged and empty it if necessary. Ensure that the nozzle and intake areas are clear of obstructions and clean the filters if needed.
Regularly check the oil level and change the oil every 25 operating hours. Clean or replace the air filter as needed, and inspect the spark plug for wear or damage, replacing it annually or as necessary.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content to prevent engine damage.
Ensure that the fuel tank is not empty and the fuel is fresh. Check for clogged air filters or fuel lines, and inspect the spark plug for fouling or damage.
Locate the height adjustment levers near each wheel. Move the levers to adjust the vacuum's height to the desired level, ensuring all wheels are set at the same height for even operation.
Remove the bag from the vacuum and empty the debris. Use a brush or compressed air to clean the bag thoroughly, ensuring there are no blockages or residual dirt.
Inspect the air filter every 25 hours of use and replace it if it appears dirty or damaged. Regular replacement ensures optimal engine performance.
Check for loose or damaged parts, including the impeller and wheels. Tighten any loose components and replace damaged parts to reduce vibration.
Drain the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer to prevent fuel deterioration. Clean the vacuum thoroughly, remove the spark plug, and store it in a dry, sheltered area.
